HSE POLICY

Mavi Energy Development Company Limited's activities are undertaken with integrity, responsibility and respect for the environment and communities in which these activities betide. This involves conducting our operations in an ethically and practically sound manner that minimizes risks and places high priority on the safety of those involved in Mavi Energy Development Company’s oil and gas operation.

Mavi Energy Development Company Limited is committed to:

  • Complying with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) laws, regulations and standards and to apply relevant standards where legislation is inadequate or does not exist.
  • A systematic framework of hazard identification (HAZID/JHA) and risk assessment through which safe operations can be managed.
  • Developing effective HSE Management Systems (HSC-MS) to identify and manage risks associated with activities by focusing on risk avoidance and prevention.
  • Establishing accountability and responsibility for HSE within organizational line management.
  • Supporting environmental protection, practicing pollution prevention, and seeking viable ways to minimize impacts of operations on the environment, reducing waste, conserving resources and respecting biodiversity.
  • Protecting and minimizing any harm to the environment and continuously focusing on improving our environmental procedures.
  • Providing training, equipment and facilities necessary to maintain a safe and healthy worksite.
  • Ensuring that partners, contractors and sub-contractors policies are compliant with our own standards and recognize that all working on our behalf can impact our operation and reputation and that we all share a common responsibility for our safety.
  • Monitoring and reviewing our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and HSE policies and procedures on a regular basis to ensure suitability, relevance and effectiveness.
